A semi-trailer transporting strawberries caught fire on Interstate 80 in Roseville on Thursday afternoon, leading to significant traffic disruptions.
The California Highway Patrol received reports of a vehicle fire shortly before 2:45 p.m. on eastbound I-80 near Eureka Road.
Upon arrival, officers found the trailer fully engulfed in flames, necessitating the closure of multiple eastbound lanes and the Eureka Road onramp.
The Roseville Fire Department confirmed that only the trailer, loaded with strawberries, was affected by the blaze.
